As part of Frontera 2025, a grant funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Chilpancingo Collective is studying contamination in the forest surrounding the Arroyo Alamar to create an Environmental Management Plan. This plan will cleanup, rehabilitation, and establish waste prevention throughout this watershed. As part of this project, we are identifying the sources of solid waste entering the Arroyo Alamar, and doing workshops, cleanup days, and presentations with residents about the importance of litter prevention.
