Since the late 1970s, Barrio Logan has called for a park to replace the empty lot next to the I-5 South along Boston Avenue, between 29th Street and 32nd Street.
This park, the Boston Avenue Linear Park will finally become a reality. The San Diego City Council approved funding for the park in its 2021 budget.
Barrio Logan and Logan Heights don’t have enough parks. They need more park space to help residents have a safe outside space for physical activity and to plant trees, grass, and plants to help clean the air. This green space will also provide a path to the Chollas Creek, the San Diego Bayshore Bikeshore, and reconnect Barrio Logan to Logan Heights.
