Medium and heavy-duty trucks are a major source of diesel pollution in California and San Diego’s Portside communities. These communities are exposed to more diesel particulate matter pollution – which is known to cause cancer – than 95% of California. That is why EHC is part of the Advanced Clean Fleet Coalition, a statewide freight coalition, calling on CARB to adopt an Advanced Clean Fleet rule that urgently works to transition medium and heavy-duty vehicles to pollution-free technology.
